First hour: Finian Cunningham's latest article is on the recent official US endorsement of the terrorist group MEK.
He is a Master’s graduate in Agricultural Chemistry and worked as a
scientific editor for the Royal Society of Chemistry, Cambridge,
England, before pursuing a career in journalism. He specializes in
Middle East and East Africa issues and appears regularly on Press TV and Russia Today as well as this show.
Finian was expelled from Bahrain in June
2011 for his critical journalism in which he highlighted many human
rights violations by the Western-backed regime.
For many years, he worked as an editor and writer in the mainstream
media, including The Mirror, Irish Times and Independent. Originally
from Belfast, Ireland, he is now based in East Africa where he is
writing a book on Bahrain and the Arab Spring.
Second hour: Alan Hart has been engaged with events in the Middle East and their global
consequences and terrifying implications – the possibility of a Clash of
Civilisations, Judeo-Christian v Islamic, and, along the way, another
great turning against the Jews – for nearly 40 years…he was a friend of both Yasser Arafat and Golda Meir, lead BBC correspondent for the Middle East, and a high-ranking if unofficial peace emissary.
